PostSubject: Server FPS   Wed Jun 08, 2016 9:49 am

I get around 5-10 FPS on the server and I know that neither my internet speed nor my PC spec's are the problem, I have had no background programs ope and turning off PAC3 has had no effect.

During my visit and chat with Kiwi I noticed the SFPS was 0. Is there any plans/information about fps optimization?

Welcome to Frostburnt Foundation, after 9 years of development, hopefully it would have been worth the weight. Thanks and have fun.

Put that into an autoexec.cfg in your garrysmod/garrysmod/cfg folder, it helps a bit for me and makes some things act funny, but the only real main issues is r_decals, r_shadows, r_maxdlights, and r_dynamic being disabled. Otherwise it may help your fps a good bit.
to turn flashlights and other lights back on, in console type r_shadows 1. To increase decal count, use r_decals 2048. To turn on garrysmod lights (toolgun) enable r_dynamic, and r_maxdlights to like 50.
This will only help with client frames despite sv being low, and with it, I'm able to run about 20-30 fps on a normal day which is underwhelming Yoru

I find the main issue (other than a lot of the maps and the crappy source engine) is PAC and wire lights, you can disable PAC or severely lower the PAC render distance. As for wire lights, people like to spam them even though we tell them not too. I might look in to a way to disable them client-side or if you're not within a radius or so because it's becoming a major problem.
