I think that something that would be nice to see is to see engineers have more dedication, and by this i mean heavily lengthen the time it takes for them to do things such as create guns or build machinery. Implimenting this would likely cut down on the amount of weapons that enter the market and make it more difficult for someone to do something along the lines of make a weapon and hop right back into the fray of war once again.

something that may be a bit more of a challenge but i also think would be neat, is to have a CNC mill function in a way that It will take the command to build, and begin construction while the engineer using the machine is free to step away. It will produce the weapon only after the engineer who placed the crafting asignment allows the gun to be released form the machine so that they can gather it.

It would also be interesting to see CNC mills having a sort of health counter, in the way that sonic miners do, having a machine damaged does not entirely break it and make it unretrievable, but it requires repair before it can function normally once again.

I like the health idea for CNC Mills, and I really like the idea of making crafting times longer. Engineers are too OP and should be nerfed. Waaaaaaaay too many engies running around.

Implementing a class change time limit would also greatly help this.

I just think that in order to make weapons, you have to make the parts first. Such as the chamber, barrel, trigger, etc. And then when you're ready to make it, it takes like one minute to make it and it should take like 25 chemicals and 10 scrap to complete the rifle, pistol, etc.

This would be pretty cool, it would make the gameplay harder, guns more valuable, harder to get and craft, and would remove some of the safe from safeland.

i enjoy the idea of a class change timer as well alaska, perhaps about an hour or so.

Sounds painful. i like it.  can such a thing be done though?

Edit: By that i mean something that will consistantly hold the time until you can change again from map to map

We think so. If I'm not mistaken, it can be set to work like a temp ban, in that it flat out refuses to let you change your class for 7 days.

Think if you just mis-clicked. you would be fucked for a week. not just that, if you had to wait a week it would just outright suck, I mean a day would be fine, it's not like they are going to change their class for a whole day to build 1 thing when they could just find someone else to do it anyway.

Simple: Put a little pop-up screen that says

Are you sure you want to choose this class?

But even one day would render a lot of switching. We're trying to keep people from changing classes because it ruins RP and is crashing the economy.

Erm I think Alaska is trying to say to make it 7 days, but make a popup saying Are you sure....? And that if the wait time was one day, it would still be too much switching.


Edit:Just had an idea, not sure if you guys will like it but; what if as an engineer you had to have a certain level to make certain guns. As a cultiv. you would have to have a certain level to cook food and etc.

also it will cause the decreasing of the base
to protect your base, you need a gun,machine
but if they already choiced another class,they will not make any bases becuase they know it will be worth
we still have the problem of the bases,and it will make it worth

and as you know
we are the human,we feel the sense and we feel the time
ppl feel hard when they need to wait for just an hour
but 1 week? you know what will ppl say
:F|F: server is the greatest server of the world.but one mistake can turn all happens
this project has critically low probabillity to success
if we failed it,server will take critical damage

I don't know if i'm reading your writing right, but I don't remember about reading about a material/inventory reset. I don't know where you got that from.(I'm guessing you're talking about a reset since you are talking about the data of the player files.) Correct me if i'm wrong..

Edit: I'm also pretty sure that's a good reason to join a faction, have someone you trust in the faction make something for you so you don't risk as much as you would do with a stranger.

The point of this is to make the gamemode harder. As for your second question, we make the change time so it's not as easy as 1.Go Engineer 2. Get maybe 1,000 or 2,000 resources of each a day(Yes it's possible, I have done it with with lv 0 scavenging when I first joined the server...) and 3. Get all the guns, ammo, and vehicles you want. So even if you are in a faction, you would need to wait for a user of the faction to get on and make you it. Also the server will die down anyways if you don't try new updates. There is a problem of the resource balance, but I certainly don't think that people don't have enough, I think people have too many.

Panda you got a thousand resources with lvl 0 scavenging? I scavenge all day with level five and I usually can get half of that :/

Lol, its really too easy get materials if you know the spawn points. I could probably get more now that im 250 xp away from 5 scav

The gamemode is way too easy right now.

Everyone is rich, everyone swaps classes whenever they need something, and there is no trade system anymore.
The economy is in the toilet. There's a massive inflation going on.

How about when you choose your character, you pick your class, then once you're playing you would have to relog to switch classes.  Also, I think vending machines should be either a boatload of resources or taken off of the crafting menu.  Sorry, but it is too easy to get guns now and the vending machines kinda take the trading rp out of the equation most of the time.
